Why gambling?
It would seem that in a world where the economy is so bad that people are losing jobs, homes, and some are losing everything that there would not be the rush that there is toward casinos. It makes sense that people would be staying home and watching their funds a little more closely.
In today’s world there are so many new casinos opening. Some are opening in areas where the developers can build huge resorts and others are opening online. They just keep coming and the reason they keep coming is because the people keep coming. Supply and demand has always been the rule of business and casino gambling is no exception to this rule. There will always be casinos as long as the people want them around.
The question remains as to why. Is it the flashing lights of the slot machines or the chance to beat the big dogs at poker? Nobody really knows for sure. But one thing is for certain and that is the fact that it is a trend that seems to be here to stay. People also may have figured out by now that they can set a bankroll amount these days for about the same price that they would spend on dinner and a movie with their spouse.
There is also the lure of the jackpot winning possibility. One spin of the reels can change someone’s life, it can save their home, payoff their credit card debt, you name it. It does not seem, however, that desperation is what draws people to the casino. It is more than likely the chance to escape from the everyday stresses that surround us with something that we don’t often get the chance to do. People love to play games and if they can win money at the slots or poker they will have a nice story to tell.
