Does it make a difference?

There is so much controversy over casinos and gambling in general that sometimes we wonder exactly what it is that the powers that be are arguing over. Gambling is everywhere. People are gambling all the time and they are doing it legally. When looking at it this way, all the lobbying, bills, arguments, and debates seem a little pointless.

Anytime someone buys a lottery ticket they are gambling, anytime someone places a bet on a football game, a horse race, a dog race, or even a local sporting race, they are gambling. To say that slot machines and poker should not be allowed seems a little out there to those that are on the outside looking in.

As humans, we tend to make things a little more difficult than what they really need to be. We tend to think that must talk and talk, and then talk some more before a decision can be made. But when it is our own officials doing all of this, it might make us wonder just what they are getting paid to do.

When it is all said and done we are left with the question of whether or not all the fighting and all of arguments and talks really mean anything. These answers seem so simple to so many. If some gambling is already legal then why all the controversy over more facilities opening?

it just the type of games offered? If so then there are so many people who don’t understand why they are quibbling over this. If some types of gambling are allowed then why not allow all forms of gambling, especially when it means more jobs and more opportunities to bring in tourists? Just as there is a lot of controversy over the online gambling world becoming legal in the United States, some think that this will only be limited to the already existing lottery. Again, the question is why?

Yep…. its pretty silly to say that the lottery is allowed online but poker isn’t, I guess it is all in who is collecting the bankrolls.

gambling is ok as long as the government is the ones who are benefiting and businesses decline.

I could never figure out why playing poker is not allowed but people can bet on dog racing, which is cruel in the eyes of a lot of people.

Gambling online is not something that people should be kept from because people have the right to spend their money as they wish and not have to go bet on dogs.

omg, when put in this perspective it doesn’t make any sense that lotteries are legal but poker isn’t and if they put the lottery online and not poker then they will not make any money.
